SSI Assistant Instructor Trainer Course
Course Description
You have worked hard and made it to the SSI Divemaster Instructor level, or equivalent in another RSTC recognized Diver Training Agency (PADI MSDT). Now you want to become part of the international team of Instructors who help shape the industry and form new SSI Instructors. Your first step on the path to becoming and SSI Instructor Trainer is the SSI Assistant Instructor Trainer Course.
At Endless Oceans Gozo we offer the SSI Assistant Instructor course in English, French, German and Spanish. We are happy to accept Instructors from all agencies who are an active status instructor equivalent to SSI Divemaster Instructor and meet the course pre-requisites. When you choose to take this important step with Endless Oceans you will spend 5 days learning the art of teaching and evaluating both classroom and in water presentation skills with our Instructor Trainer. Course Objective
Your 5 day course is all about upping your presentation skills and also learning how to evaluate the presentations given by your future AI and ITC students.
Your days will be spent learning the key points and critical attributes of all skills you will be teaching your students as well as how to objectively grade presentations Upon successful completion you will be ready to train and certify Assistant Instructors as well as work alongside an Instructor Trainer during SSI ITCs. Before You Come
This course is all about bringing your presentations up to a 10 out of 10 level. As such it is important that you have committed as much of the key points to memory as possible and have already started to correct any shortcomings you may have developed over your time as an instructor.
During the course your Trainer will work with you on perfecting your presentation and evaluation skills. If you are not properly prepared on arrival it will not be possible to get you up to speed with any shortcomings, "bad habitats" or gaps in your basic knowledge and skills in the 5 days allotted for the course. Your pre-course prep and self study sessions should ideally start well before you arrive. If you are unsure of your skills or knowledge let us know and we will be happy to point you in the right direction. Whats Included
Our price includes all course materials, SSI fees relating to the Assistant Instructor Course and up to 5 days with the Instructor Trainer.
